Winter is taking it's time to arrive here in Maine. Sure, it's cold, but not terribly frigid, and so far we've only gotten a dusting of snow. At least I have had time to harvest more herbs - I love hanging them right in the coop for my chickens to nibble on and also provide a bit of mouse protection. Mice supposedly don't like the scent of mint or pine, so adding a few evergreen boughs is something I also do each winter. I also did a bit of baking this week. Pound cake and cookies were on menu this week for dessert! Enjoy this peek at our week.
